The St Gemma’s Memory Wall

The memory wall is here to provide a place for the whole community to share their treasured memories, so you, family and friends can celebrate the life of someone special.
You are also welcome to make a donation in their memory, however there is no obligation to do this.

Although dad didn't have cancer as soon as he started to receive palliative care he received regular visits from Jen which he found very comforting and really looked forward to. She was a great support to me and mum as well. His biggest fear was having to go in to hospital and the possibility of dying there, so the support from St Gemma’s meant that myself and mum were able to care for him at home which is where he died. He also knew that if things became unmanageable at home he could go in to St Gemma’s and be cared for there, this made a massive difference to him in his final days. St Gemma’s is such a special place.

Linda Rushworth
Linda Rushworth peacefully passed away on Wednesday 5th March 2025 after bravely fighting cancer. She was an amazing wife, mother, Grandma & Great Grandma. She was strong, brave and a wonderful friend to many. We want to thank St Gemma's for the care, attention and love they haven given to her over the past few years. She was my inspiration, my biggest critic and always there to encourage me in everything I did. I will miss you mum so much but your memory will live on in all of us.
